Have a go: beat a drum, blow a bagpipe and throw a mace into the air!
Learning to play the bagpipes or the drums is a fun thing to do. The music is great and playing in the pipe band takes you places. You get to meet interesting people, play at big events and at small ones.

Update #1 for 2017

Happy new year to everyone and welcome to this first update for 2017

Looking back at the final parades for last year many thanks to Ken for leading the band on New Year’s Eve (there are some photos on the band’s website). Last Thursday a small group played at East Pier for the Early Ford V8 Club who were meeting in Napier making this our first parade for the year.

The Getting Going workshop is on 23-26 January – see the post on the website for details.

Our first band practice will be on Monday 30 January at the band rooms.

Hastings Highland Games: The schedule of piping events and entry form has been emailed to everyone.
